Thrive HR Consulting Talent Solutions is Hiring a Director of Business Development (Timing) Near Sunnyvale, CA

About the Role
The Director of Business Development (Timing) is an experienced business leader with a deep expertise in the field of timing sync. This important role will help drive the expansion of NextNav business into various timing verticals, with a focus on the Electrical grid. Reporting to the VP of business development, the Sr Director of Business Development will work with the entire organization (including product management and engineering) to ensure that the timing offering of NextNav properly meets the needs of the market, and engage with the appropriate partners for success. This position will be based in the US, preferably out of our Sunnyvale office.
Responsibilities
  • Present, promote and sell NextNav timing solutions to existing and prospective customers
  • Analysis of market needs for Electrical Utility’sto identify the leading areas within timing market to focus on
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and partner relationships
  • Coordinate business efforts with team members and other departments
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field; an engineering degree is a plus
  • Deep expertise in the field of timing for the Electrical grid and working with Utilities, suppliers to the Electrical utilities
  • 15 years of experience in business development, sales or partnership relations
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Familiarity with CRM practices along with ability to build productive business professional relationships
  • Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
